Accessibility statement for Civil Service Jobs
This accessibility statement applies to the Civil Service Jobs website, which includes the job board, application forms, and application centre. This statement does not apply to online tests which may be used during the recruitment process, however the reasonable adjustments for online tests guide includes accessibility information. This statement does not apply to digital identity checks which may be used during the recruitment process.
This website is run by the Cabinet Office. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
- There are some instances of headings or focus where the colour contrast between text and background colour is not sufficient. This fails criterion 1.4.3 (minimum contrast) and 1.4.11 (non-text contrast).
- There are some pages with an incorrect heading structure, and some forms where labelling is inconsistent. These issues make it difficult for screen reader users to understand and navigate page layout. This fails criterion 1.3.1 (information and relationships).
- There are places where keyboard users may find it difficult to navigate through non-visible elements because the focus order is unclear. This fails criterion 2.4.3 (focus order).
- In the job search pages, some buttons are not programmatically associated with descriptive labels, which means that screenreader users may find it difficult to identify the purpose of the buttons or relationship with surrounding information. This fails criterion 2.4.6 (heading and labels).
We plan to resolve these issues by March 2025.

This website was last tested in July 2024. The test was carried out by the Digital Accessibility Centre, with later testing by Cabinet Office staff. The tests were conducted on common candidate tasks, including applying for a job, reviewing application feedback, scheduling an interview, and completing pre-employment checks.
