Job summary
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is a small government department with a big mission: to keep food safe, ensure that it is what it says it is and that it’s increasingly healthy and more sustainable. We work with over 300 local authorities across three nations to ensure that consumers have access to ‘food you can trust’. We’re looking for a Local Authority Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Manager who can help us ensure each of these separate authorities offers a consistent level of quality control so that food is held to the same level, is safe and is what it says it is. |
Job description
You’ll support the gathering of data focused on the delivery of our Official Controls, contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of our systems. Lead on our analysis of the rendered data, you’ll prepare reports that will inform our Senior Management Team, the FSA board and a range of internal and external stakeholders and help to ensure consistency in our food safety efforts. You’ll be a talented analyst who can unpack data and dig up fresh insights, and a confident communicator who is able to share their findings with stakeholders in ways that will connect with them best. Your work will actively impact not only the way we monitor team performances and progress against business plans, but the very safety of food on tables across the nation. If you are excited by an opportunity to use your data analyst and report writing skills in an area that has a tangible positive impact, apply today to join us as our Local Authority Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Manager. Further details on job sharing can be found here JSF – What is the recruitment process for job sharers? , Civil Service Careers (civil-service-careers.gov.uk) Applicants who wish to work compressed hours are welcome to apply - however your preferred working pattern may not be available and you should discuss this with the vacancy holder before applying. |
