Job summary

Dstl’s Counter Intelligence & Threat Management Team has an exciting Lead role for you to come join us bringing your experience in Security & Threat, to mitigate the threats posed by Terrorism, Espionage, Sabotage, Subversion, Organised Crime (TESSOC) and the insider threat.

This is a rewarding role that enables Dstl’s Safe, Secure and Resilient S&T operations. Your individual and collective impact will ensure that Dstl maintains the ability to conduct its business in a confident, assured and risk-balanced manner, continuously reviewing threats and vulnerabilities against risk appetite.  Although you will be the Technical Lead for the team there are no line management responsibilities.

Job description

In this role you will:

  • Implement and maintain the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for your team.
  • Setting positive conditions for CITM to conduct “Reactive” and “Proactive” CI activities.
  • Represent DSTL’s Principal Security Advisor (PSyA) on Defence and partner related meetings/working groups as required.
  • Ensure that CITM team members have received all necessary Technical training to carry out their duties in conjunction with PSyA.
  • Manage the DSTL threat mitigation plan.

We are looking for someone who has a well-developed understanding of HMG and or Mod Security requirements & regulations, experiencing in working in a Intelligence environment at Operational and Strategic level, be an excellent communicator & networking Skills be able to problem solve and work to tight deadlines.

Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats.
