As our Senior Research Analyst you will help deliver real impact in improving health and care services and policies for the 152 services we monitor. You will play a vital role in the delivery of quality research and analysis, supporting the network to apply creative and innovative approaches to engaging communities and how they collect people’s views about health and care.
We’re looking for someone who can provide leadership in research and analysis whilst delivering advice and guidance to the Healthwatch network to maintain high quality research practices.
Job description
You will be an experienced qualitative and quantitative researcher and data analyst with experience of managing or delivering research projects to influence policy or service delivery. You’ll have a good understanding of different research methodologies and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to work flexibly and at pace across a number of thematic areas.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience of successfully managing and/or delivering research projects using quantitative and qualitative research methods to influence policy or service delivery.
- Have a good understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of a range of research methods including quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods to be able to advise on creative approaches to answering research questions.
- Experience of delivering surveys including piloting, survey design, overseeing field work, analysis of data, identifying key insights and presenting results.
- Proven ability to conduct analysis of qualitative and quantitative data; using different data sets and information
- Ability to assimilate information quickly (including complex diagrams) work flexibly and at pace across a number of thematic areas, and present complex information in an easily understood, accessible format.
- Proven ability to translate analytical and/or research findings into clearly presented products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailoring content to the audience.
- Ability to present him/her self professionally, with experience of representing an organisation to external audiences, and consulting with local organisations or marginalised groups.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues across an organisation to achieve shared objectives
- Ability to see the wider organisational picture
