Job description
The College of Policing is working with key stakeholders such as the Local Policing and Prevention coordination committees to ensure Neighbourhood Officers and staff are recognised as specialists and appropriately trained to deliver high quality Neighbourhood Policing.
The new Government priority is tackling Anti-Social behaviour linked to levelling up requires a dedicated resource.
This role will support the Neighbourhood Policing SME in drafting and developing evidence-based policing standards and guidance within specific area of anti-social behaviour, engaging with, and advising police forces, agencies, and other stakeholder organisations, to support the promotion and embedding of professional practice across policing.
Person specification
You will support the research and collection of information and best available evidence from a range of sources and build and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure officers and staff are equipped to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour.
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
- Significant work experience in area of subject matter expertise, e.g., anti-social behaviour.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective, partnerships with the ability to negotiate with others to achieve timely results.
- Ability to produce and present clear, coherent, concise, and prompt reports and papers

Selection process details
Eligibility:

It is anticipated that interviews will be held the week commencing the 21st October.
Location: This is a designated homeworking role and will require regular travel to all College of Policing sites, UK police forces and external organisations, where appropriate.
This role is available for 2 years as a secondment opportunity to:
- serving police officers substantive in the rank of Constable or PCSO. All applicants must have the support of their Chief Officer which must be of NPCC rank, i.e., CC, ACC or DCC and this must accompany an application.
- serving police staff at the equivalent rank of Constable who have their chief officer's approval. Chief Officer’s approval must be of NPCC rank, i.e., CC, ACC or DCC. Approval for a secondment must accompany an application.
Central service conditions will apply for police officers and staff.
