Job description

Role

We’re looking for an Officer to join our Engagement & Partnerships team to support us in working with external partners to broaden our reach, share important key messages and supporting assets and materials as well as, updating and maintaining the team’s database systems and processes to ensure that the knowledge and insights we receive from our external engagement is captured to inform TPR's regulatory strategy and policy work moving forwards.

The post holder will play a key part in building understanding and support of TPR’s regulatory approach, building consensus with external stakeholders and sharing information and messages in order to influence industry behaviour with a view to reducing the need for compliance activity.

Responsibilities

• Use a database system to manage and maintain information on engagement taking place across TPR.

• Develop and deliver content for external partners to share with their own audiences.

• Support and coordinate engagement activities such as organising events and meetings.

• Identify partners and understand their audiences and channels.

• Engage effectively and confidently with external partners.

• Take and interpret meeting notes and update other colleagues where relevant. 

Person specification

Essential and Desirable Criteria

• Excellent written communication skills, with demonstrable experience of effectively and confidently engaging with external and internal stakeholders.

• Knowledge and experience of a database system such as Dynamics 365.

• Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering external communications.

• Experience in project coordination, working with both external stakeholders and internal facing cross functional teams.

• Excellent organisation skills particularly in relation to engagement activities, including diary management, taking minutes, preparing briefing materials, and managing accurate contact records.

• Knowledge and experience of using a relationship management/marketing tool to build and deliver external communications such as Dynamics 365.

• Experience of working on a communications campaign.
