Job description

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Security Operations expert to join our developing Technology Team.

As the Security Operations Analyst you will be confident in collecting intelligence on cyber security incidents and data breaches and undertaking research and analysis of information from multiple sources. This is a new, exciting role where you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other technology teams to reduce potential attacks.

In this role you will:

  • Be the main point of contact for receiving information and intelligence on security incidents, requests and general queries
  • Liaise with internal and external colleagues, providing technical and general advice on all cyber security matters
  • Undertake confidential and technically complex research and investigations in relation to security breaches as requested or using your own initiative and judgement
  • Undertake detailed root cause investigations for cyber incidents with skilled interpretation and analysis of information
  • Support with threat detection, cyber security event/incident response, and leading forensic investigations

Person specification

With demonstrable experience using Microsoft tools such as Azure, Defender XDR, and Sentinel you will help us ensure the organisations protection from cyber-attacks.

The ideal candidate for this role will;

  • Have experience using Microsoft tools such as Azure, Defender XDR, Sentinel and Power BI.
  • Understand common security standards, frameworks and regulations (DSPT, ISO2700x, GDPR, CAF, MITRE, ITIL)
  • Hold Microsoft Security and Azure Qualifications (desirable)
  • Hold some or all Cyber security industry qualifications (desirable)
