External Candidates: External candidates will receive the new starter spot rate as advertised above. Following successful completion of probation and at least 6 months of satisfactory performance, you will receive an uplift of salary to the target spot rate.
OGD Candidates: Candidates coming in on level transfer will automatically go the target spot rate. If your salary exceeds this, you will not be able to retain the additional.

Where will I be working?
You’ll be working in one of the following FBO Plants within the East region of the UK: Cluster 20 - Mutch Meats, New Close Lane, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX29 7GX (2 posts) (Working Pattern is a 4 day week, 9.25 hours per day, 06.30am – 16.15pm) Cluster 12 - 2 Sisters Scunthorpe, RAM Boulevard, Foxhills Industrial Estate, Scunthorpe, DN15 8QW (1 post) (Two week shift pattern, Week 1 05.30am – 14.30pm / Week 2 14.00pm – 23.15pm. This role includes contractual overtime) Cluster 16 - Shazan Foods, Magdalen Street, Eye, Suffolk, IP23 7AJ (1 post) (Working pattern is a 4 day week with rolling day off, 9.25 hours per day, 05.30am – 17.15pm and includes contractual overtime) When you apply, you’ll be asked to confirm your preference of 1 or more FBO Plants. Application and shortlisting You will be asked to provide personal details (not seen by the Panel) and to confirm your eligibility to apply for the role. Technical: You will be asked two questions to confirm that you meet the Technical requirements of the role. · You have a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle · You are not already either qualified, or part-qualified to carry out Official Auxiliary duties in any capacity If you cannot answer yes to these questions – you will not be able to proceed further with your application. You will then be asked to complete a personal statement which will be used to assess you against the following essential criteria. Essential criteria Experience · When have you managed multiple workloads successfully working within tight deadlines? · Tell us about your experience of working in an operational (retail, hospitality, service industry) OR fast paced environment? · How have you used Microsoft Office or equivalent in your work, study or other tasks? When submitting you personal statement, you are encouraged to use the full 750 words available to the best of your ability, as this will help the panel to determine your suitability to be taken through for interview. Interview If successful at shortlisting stage, you will be invited to a final interview in which we will assess you against the following Experience criteria: Experience · Experience of working under pressure and remaining calm in stressful situations · Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision as part of a team · Experience of building effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders · Experience of being thorough and paying attention to detail
Timeline
Advert closes: 24/11/24 Sift: Expected to take place week commencing 25/11/24 Final panel interview: Expected to take place week commencing 09/12/24 Interviews will be held remotely via MS Teams.
Successful candidates will have 4 weeks to complete the pre-employment checking process, between 16/12/24 and 12/01/25. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that they are forthcoming in providing their right to work documentation and completing any pre-employment actions. In the event that the successful candidate(s) checks have not cleared by 12/01/25, those affected will be placed on the reserve list and will be considered for any future vacancies over the next 12 months.
The induction is scheduled to take place on 10/02/25. If the successful candidates are unable to commence their employment with the FSA on this date, they will be placed on the reserve list and will be considered for any future vacancies over the next 12 months.
