Job summary
As our Health and Safety Manager your role will be pivotal in fostering a strong culture of health and safety across Cafcass. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure statutory duties are met and drive continuous improvement in health and safety practices, policies and procedures.
This is a national role, so travel to sites across UK will be required.
Job description
Health and Safety Manager key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing health and safety strategies in line with organisational objectives.
- Conducting investigations, managing emergencies and responding to health and safety complaints.
- Providing expert advice to senior management and influence decision-making processes.
- Maintaining a visible profile within Cafcass to support a culture of safety and compliance.
Person specification
We are seeking a passionate and delivery-focused professional with:
- NEBOSH or NVQ Level 5 qualification.
- Specialist security qualification such as NPSA or a willingness to work towards them.
- Previous experience in a public sector organisation would be advantageous.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

Location? Flexible (travel required)
Contractually, you can be based in any Cafcass office.
