Working hours:  Week one 8am till 4pm with half hour lunch,  week two 10am till 6pm with half hour lunch

Job description

We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals with a passion for delivering excellent customer service to join our busy contact centre and assessment team in Llandudno.

Our Student Finance Officers are responsible for assisting our customers in their student finance journey by resolving their requests and case managing their applications whilst learning new skills as your career progresses within SLC. This will include assessing and processing student finance applications to establish our customers’ eligibility and entitlement to financial support across a wide range of SLC products whilst providing excellent customer service by answering customer queries through our various channels including inbound and outbound calls, email, webchat and letter

SLC offer a Blend working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Initial Training will be office based.

What you bring:

 To join our Student Finance Officer team in Llandudno you must demonstrate the following:

• Ideally experience in working in a customer-focussed role, preferably within a high-volume contact centre or processing environment.
• Excellent IT skills, with significant experience using email and the ability to use multiple software platforms.
• A passion for customer service with the ability to understand customers’ needs and a desire to deliver high standards.
• The ability to use your own initiative whilst working within defined guidelines and adapt to changing working environments, in a positive manner.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively through a variety of channels including telephone, email, and letter.
• A commitment to continue your own learning and development whilst maintaining the key knowledge and skills required for your role.
