About the job
Job summary
The Food Standard Agency’s (FSA) Northern Ireland office operates adjacent to the FSA in Britain and Wales, and as such takes on a lot of important duties separately from the wider organisation. This means that it is particularly important that we offer all teams working within the Northern Ireland office robust support to enable them to get their work done and continue to protect the health of those in Northern Ireland and the wider UK.
The FSA is looking for a Premises Officer who can ensure our team in Northern Ireland is always in the best position to deliver their important work in keeping food safe. Overseeing the smooth running of our offices in NI, as well as IT systems for the team, you will seek to deliver a consistent and reliable working environment while working to improve our environmental impact.
Job description
Though the FSA offers excellent flexible working opportunities for our employees, many still work from our physical offices, and you will be responsible for creating an environment that best supports them as they seek to deliver important work to protect consumers. From the coordination of onsite work by external contractors to liaising with stakeholders on matters surrounding our NI properties, your work will be varied.
In managing the NI team’s IT requirements, you will also ensure that we are able to deliver a consistent service - a vital quality to our work, as we seek to deliver positive results on time sensitive projects and in our responses to emerging food incidents.
You will be motivated and organised, and able to manage your priorities to deliver against a number of concurrent targets whilst working at pace. If you are excited to make a real difference to the operational functionality of our organisation and are passionate about developing and improving our premises so that we can better work and offer a more sustainable approach to all that we do, apply today for our Premises Officer role.
