Location: National*

(MoJ candidates who are on a specialist grade, will be able to retain this grade on lateral transfer)
Salary: National: £32827 - £35678 (which may include an allowance of up to £61). London: £37174 - £40403 (which may include an allowance of up to £851).
Working pattern: Full-time, part-time, flexible working, job share.

The Role
We’re recruiting for a Junior Platform Engineer here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative ServiceNow team.
This role aligns against IT Service Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework
The ideal candidate will possess a mix of technical acumen and a desire to continuously learn, with a particular focus on both system administration and development work within the ServiceNow ITSM platform. You’ll be involved in maintaining the platform, ensuring smooth operations, while also assisting in the development of new functionalities.
As a Junior Platform Engineer, you’ll have the opportunity to explore both the operational and development sides of the ServiceNow platform. With guidance from experienced engineers and a supportive team environment, you will contribute to key projects, making a real impact while expanding your skill set in this hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Assist with platform maintenance, including updates, patching, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Development Support: Collaborate with senior developers to build and customise functionalities, including workflows, business rules, and UI policies.
- Update Sets: Create and promote update sets, ensuring proper version control and smooth release processes.
- Release Runbooks: Apply release runbooks to UAT and pre-production environments, supporting smooth deployment processes.
- CI Management: Perform Configuration Item (CI) uploads and manage relationships within the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Incident and Request Management: Provide support in managing ServiceNow incidents and service requests, resolving issues related to the platform and user requests.
- Platform Upgrades: Play an active role in regression testing and supporting platform upgrades to ensure continuity and performance.
- Security Changes: Complete security-related platform changes in line with internal policies and governance.
- User Support: Assist with user administration, including access controls, permissions, and role assignments, ensuring proper governance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and developers, to implement new features and fix existing issues.
- Documentation: Help document development and administrative processes, supporting knowledge sharing within the team.
- Learning and Development: Stay updated on ServiceNow platform changes and new functionalities, continuously growing your technical skills.

Essential
- ServiceNow System Admin Certification (CSA)
- ITIL V4 Certification
- Strong Communication Skills
- Good Knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform, ITSM in particular
