Job description

SLC have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join our Estates team with the Product, Customer and External Relations directorate. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our buildings mechanical and electrical systems, they will monitor the performance of our key building systems and adjust/maintain or engage specialist contractors as needed to ensure the systems operate at peak efficiency. You will supervise specialist service staff on site as required and provide advice and support on all building services matters to ensure the site is maintained in good at all times. The successful candidate will also monitor the buildings for any Health and Safety risks and provide out of hours on-call support to the on call managers as 2nd line of defence.

Person specification

What you bring:

·       Experience in FM services or property maintenance, with specialised skills in plumbing, heating, cooling systems or 18th Edition certified.

·       Certified professional with up-to-date Health and Safety training and HVAC & BMS experience

·       Tech-savvy problem solver with good IT

·       Proven track record in managing third-party suppliers and coordinating maintenance projects

·       Valid driver’s licence holder, ready to support on-site facility needs across our two Glasgow locations
