Job summary
The SFO is a unique law enforcement agency, tackling some of the most serious and organised economic crime nationally and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity as a senior leader to deliver on the Director’s priorities including improving partnership working, progressing cases more efficiently, and helping develop and increase the agencies proactive capacity and capability.
This role offers the opportunity to enhance and shape a more proactive approach within the SFO’s Intelligence Division, with a remit to identify and develop potential cases utilising a range of tactics, both reactive and proactive.
As a Principal Intelligence Officer, you will have responsibility for ensuring the oversight of a team of Intelligence Officers, collecting, evaluating, analysing, triaging and disseminating information in line with the National Intelligence Model. As well as overseeing the progression of intelligence development operations. You will hold and integral role in the SFO’s Intelligence Division, helping support the SFO’s Mission to investigate and prosecute the most complex cases of fraud, bribery and corruption

Application stage
As part of the application process you will be required to provide:
- Confirmation of how you meet the Essential & Technical criteria as listed on the Job Pack.
- A personal statement of no more than 750 words that explains how your skills and experience meet each of the essential experience criteria as listed in the job pack, and what you can bring to the role.
- A supporting CV outlining your career history.
CV & Personal statement will be used to SIFT.
Candidates who do not meet essential criteria "Current and demonstrable experience of conducting serious and complex investigations" or the technical criteria "Investigator Qualified to PIP Level or 2 or recognised equivalent/Completion of IPP" will not have the remainder of their application considered.
It will not be possible to provide feedback to applicants who are unsuccessful at the application stage.
Interview stage
