Job summary

How do we make sure our customers know where to turn to for the key datasets that better inform their work? How might we remove the data distractions, so we are focusing on that data which tells customers the most current and focused picture about their work?

Reporting to the Assistant Head of Performance and Reporting, the role sits within the DIO's Chief Operating Officer's wider team, contributing to the DIO Customer Delivery Committee and supports other DIO Boards and Committees so accuracy, agility and quality of management information required for reporting is key within the Team. We have developed strong working relationships with team members within DIO and our TLB customers, to best serve the needs they have from data and evidence, and to help them navigate and utilise the data now available to them.

The areas of work you could be involved in include shaping the design of dashboards, exploring customer requirements and working with the Reporting and Data Working Group to support good quality data sharing and use and readiness to take on new or changing work.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • look at data through different lenses
  • help us gain a clearer picture of productivity and other key data themes
  • identify where greater meaning can be gained from linking different datasets together
  • Have a keen eye for process
  • can look at the measures we can use organisationally and in our contracts to best drive all involved to deliver the best for customers.

The digital work-stream success is needed to achieve an improved infrastructure service to our customers to help maintain, sustain, change, and operate the Defence Estate. This will help to ensure that DIO remains safe and legal by improving risk communication.
