This is an exciting time to join the MHA Operations team with Mental Health Act (MHA) reform a priority in the King’s speech and with the delivery of the independent care (education) and treatment review programme. Job description
The Mental Health Act Monitoring Co-ordinator will provide project and specialist support to the four regional monitoring teams, undertaking tasks essential to the delivery of high quality MHA monitoring activities.
Working closely with the Mental Health Act Operations Managers (and any associated workstream leads) you will ensure the delivery of programmes, projects and business-as-usual MHA Operations activities.
Actively engaging with all parts of the CQC plus internal and external stakeholders contributing to the delivery of successful MHA monitoring.
Each MHA Monitoring Co-ordinator is accountable to their regional MHA Operations Manager and will be working collaboratively with their counterparts in other regions.
Person specification
To succeed you’ll have a good understanding of how we monitor the Mental Health Act, with experience in working in health or social care.
You will have strong analytical skills and a methodical approach with the ability to analyse, triage and risk assess information.
You’ll have effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, write impactful reports and relate to people in multiple settings.
You will have excellent organisation skills, with experience in a project support or coordination role and be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
