Location: National

Salary: National: £39,868 - £43,535 (which may include an allowance of up to £2,057) London: £45,824 - £50,039 (which may include an allowance of up to £2,251)

The Role
We’re recruiting for Associate Delivery Managers here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative Technology Enterprise Delivery team.
This role aligns against SEO Delivery Manager from the Government Digital and Data Framework
We’re looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who’ll enjoy working in a delivery focused environment with multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to our Agile Delivery Community and share your skills and experiences with others across the MoJ, and wider government departments.
As an Associate Delivery Manager, you will lead on various initiatives within Technology Enterprise Delivery Including:
Delivering crucial technological services into prisons across England and Wales which include digital implementations to staff and also to those in custodial care within Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service.
Facilitating technology changes that are necessary across the Estate Directorate within England and Wales which include major office refurbishments, relocations, and network infrastructure upgrades
Delivering key technological initiatives across the Justice Digital portfolio in line with our digital and technology strategy
You will be required to build relationships with stakeholders, adapt and implement governance and assurance processes. You will contribute to the day-to-day running of a project, and you will take responsibility for specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits.
You will be required to travel to various establishments, courts and offices throughout England and Wales during deployment implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
As an Associate Delivery Manager you will;
- Assist in building and maintaining motivated teams, taking a positive approach to tackling problems and finding ways to identify suitable solutions.
- Continuously learn and improve your understanding of Agile and Lean practices.
- Proactively manage dependencies or work to eliminate them, overcoming obstacles and getting the best value against constraints.
- Protect the team and remove barriers to collaboration, helping the team to communicate and focus on what is most important.
- Take part in informal support networks with your peers and be an active part of the broader delivery management community.
- Adapt to variations in work or environment, be flexible and versatile and act as an advocate for change.
- Provide stability and cohesion within teams, finding common ground and purpose, drawing insight from your own emotions and those of others to demonstrate empathy.
As an Associate Delivery Manager, you will work on a small or mature agile team and learn on the job. At this level, you may work alongside a delivery manager on a larger team, shadowing and providing support, or working to deliver an element themselves under guidance and mentorship.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proven experience in a Delivery, or Delivery support role, with a working understanding of Delivery Frameworks.
- Strong communication skills. You can communicate complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussion within a multidisciplinary team. You have excellent attention to detail.
- Maintaining delivery momentum. You can actively track, manage, escalate and communicate risks and dependencies.
- Making the process work. You can help a team find the process that works best for them and facilitate delivery.
- Agile and Lean practices. You can provide a clear, open and transparent framework in which teams can deliver and you can visualise and make visible the work of the team. You are curious about Agile and Lean practices and proactive in developing your knowledge and expertise.
- Team dynamics and collaboration. You know about the importance of team dynamics, collaboration and empowering delivery teams. You understand the importance of feedback.
