Successful candidates will be offered the minimum of the pay scale, but in some circumstances salary negotiations will be dependent on the demonstration of skills and experience. All our roles come with an excellent benefits’ package, including the generous Civil Service Pension Scheme. Further salary increases depend entirely upon the outcome of our annual pay negotiation with central government. If you are a current Civil Servant transferring to us, your salary will be discussed in line with our pay policies.

Job description

Our Operational Team Leaders will:

  • Provide great leadership, coaching and support – role modelling positive behaviours whilst also providing policy and legislative knowledge.
  • Line managing a team – ensuring excellent team performance, great delivery, and quality of service.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Focus on and deliver continuous improvement for themselves and others - to build performance capabilities and drive engagement to achieve high quality outcomes.
  • Communicate well and build relationships – supporting people to achieve our vision and goals.
  • Ensure diversity, inclusion and staff wellbeing are valued and supported.

Person specification

    We’re looking for Operational Team Leaders who:

    • Are great leaders - setting a professional culture whilst delivering continuous improvements and building capability.
    • Can be strong line managers who can build strong and trusted relationships - to check-in with colleagues, support staff wellbeing and handle challenging. conversations.
    • Deliver and improve operational performance – living our values of being bold to share good ideas to improve the integrity of the register.
    • Confidently put customers at the heart of everything they do - displaying enthusiasm around delivering best in class service.
    • Are great communicators – to convey messages clearly verbally and in writing.
    • Are well organised and adaptable to deliver at pace and under pressure to meet changing priorities and deadlines.

    You will be aligned to our Cardiff Office, where we are currently using a hybrid approach to the way we work.
