Job description
In this role you will:
- Provide Dstl with an internal and external environmental and sustainability SME consultancy advice and guidance.
- Support the Estates Assurance Manager with assurance activities as required.
- Lead on the development of an agreed risk based audit programme for environmental compliance and sustainability within Estates Infrastructure projects, including providing crown oversight of the implementation of this programme.
- Lead on the development, review and assurance of Sustainability Appraisals and DREAM assessments.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Knowledge of risk based audit programmes for environmental compliance and sustainability.
- Creating and managing an Aspects Register.
- Water abstraction and effluent treatment and disposal.
- A strong understanding of environmental and sustainability management.
- An understanding of industry best practise in relation to environmental and sustainability management and be able to transfer these practises to Dstl.

Our work in defence, security and intelligence requires our employees to be UK Nationals who are able to gain a high level of security clearance to undertake the projects we are involved in to protect us from security threats. Sifting will take place week commencing the 18th November 2024 with interviews to be arranged on 28th & 29th November 2024.
