As a qualified accountant, you will analyse complex financial data, identify trends and provide strategic financial insight to support the organisation.

We are recruiting on behalf of several government organisations who are looking for dynamic and ambitious newly qualified accountants to support their work. Roles available include:

Finance Business Partner: As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide strategic financial insight and analysis to support decision-making across your organisation

Strategic Financial Advisor: In this role, your key responsibilities will include offering strategic financial advice about budgeting, planning, and helping stakeholders navigate complex financial decisions.

Financial Accounting and Reporting: Your focus in this role will be delivering core financial controls and providing technical accounting advice. You will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the organisation’s financial statements.

Management Accounts: In this role, you will be responsible for producing detailed financial reports and adding value to the numbers by providing insight and analysis, enabling you to support business decisions through accurate financial data.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following criteria in the suitability statement, within the application form: 

Essential Criteria

Finance Qualified with CCAB or CIMA. 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively interact with key stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to analyse, manage and present complex financial data, identify trends and provide valuable insights to support decision-making. 

Desirable Criteria

Application of professional accountancy standards within a complex organisation.

Location-Based Reserve Lists

Eligibility Statement

A candidate is not eligible to apply for a role in the Civil Service if the application is made within a 5 year period following a dismissal for carrying out internal fraud against government. Everyone working with government assets must complete Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks. Additionally, individuals appointed  will be subject to National Security Vetting. All candidates will be required to have Security Check (SC) clearance before starting in the role. Some roles will require candidates to go through Developed Vetting (DV) once they start in the role.

To allow for meaningful checks to be carried out, applicants will need to have lived in the UK for at least 5 out of the past 10 years. In exceptional circumstances, a lack of residency would not be a bar to security clearance however the Department will need to consider eligibility on a case by case basis once the advert closing date has passed.
