Specialist Training School (STS) is the training arm for Royal Air Force Safety Centre (Air Command) High Wycombe but currently lodge at Royal Air Force Halton.

Our Vision

A safety organisation which delivers effective Total Safety Management and leads on intelligent application of critical thinking.

For STS to deliver this specialist training, it is essential we attract, select, and develop the right candidate to join our training school team. STS prides itself to deliver the best learning experience our customers rightly deserve and expect. With this we currently have a vacancy for a HS trainer who has ideally worked in a H&S role or has a training background, however, should the right candidate display suitable attributes and long-term commitment to STS, there is an opportunity to gain specialist training for the post. Does this role sound like the exciting new challenge you’ve been looking for? If so, we want to hear from you!

It is important to us that the right candidate is a team player and has the individual desire to improve themselves. The MoD and RAF HS&EP profession recognise STS as an approved training provider who has qualified defence trainers and follow the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT). To become an STS specialist trainer, you will need to be focused and able to manage your days, so our customers receive the best H&S training and learning experience available. To become part of this well moulded and motivated team we need people who promote our exacting standards of training excellence to the RAF and Civil Servant colleagues.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is enthusiastic and motivated, who can interact professionally at all levels but as a team player first.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
